LSU vs Ole Miss

( 40-7 Win )

"Go to hell Ole Miss. Go to hell." The Rebels might have wished to have been there instead of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium after the pounding they recieved by the top ranked LSU defense.

It was already over upon the Tigers arrival in Oxford.

They quickly found theirselves as a very small speed bump to all their opponents in the SEC this year. The Ole Miss offense entered as one of the worst in the SEC, and for much of the first half, the Rebels played like it.

It's kinda funny when you sack yourself in the endzone.
Well it was to me at least.

Ole Miss' offensive struggles put the Rebels in an early hole. Ethan Flatt took a snap, stumbled in the end zone, fumbled and fell on the ball for a safety to give LSU a 2-0 lead. This was the beginning of an usual string of bad snaps. The only thing that saved them from further embarassment was the opportunities that we gave them to go three and out.

Bennie Brazell looks a little excited about catching this pass...
excited enough to frolick around while holding hands with the coach?

The Rebels crossed midfield only once against LSU's defensive starters but avoided their first shutout since 1998 with a touchdown with less than three minutes to play.

Just thought this was an intersting shot... everyone's flying around.

The victory for LSU (9-1, 6-1 SEC) was by the largest margin by an Ole Miss opponent in Oxford since a 47-0 defeat at the hands of Kentucky in 1949.The rout leaves only Arkansas standing in the Tigers' path to Atlanta. LSU can clinch its third title game berth in five seasons by beating the lowly Razorbacks next week.

They're so happy because I FINALLY decided
to catch up on my Gameday Blogs. Oh... and they won.

The rout leaves only Arkansas standing in the Tigers' path to the SEC championship game in Atlanta. LSU can clinch its third title game berth in five seasons by beating the lowly Razorbacks next week and possibly pave the last section of the road to another national championship. Stranger things have been known to happen.
